Double Armored Fiber Optic Cable – Direct Buried | Factory Supply

The 250μm fibers are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound.A steel wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE)for cable with high fiber count, locates in the center of core as a metallic strength member.Tubes and possible fillers are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core.An Aluminum tape is applied around the cable core, which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. Then the cable core is covered with a thin PE inner sheath. After the corrugated steel tape is longitudinally applied over the inner sheath, the cable is sheathed by PE material.

Double Armored Fiber Optic Cable – Direct Buried | Factory Supply

GYTA53 Double-Armored Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable (2-288 Cores)

Ultimate Protection for Direct Burial and Harsh Environments

The GYTA53 Fiber Optic Cable is the gold standard for heavy-duty outdoor networking. Engineered with a dual-layer protective shield—featuring both an aluminum moisture barrier and corrugated steel tape armor—this cable is purpose-built for direct burial and long-haul telecommunications. It provides maximum resistance against mechanical pressure, water ingress, and rodent damage, ensuring your network stays online in the most challenging conditions.

Key Performance Highlights

  • Double-Armored Durability: Equipped with Corrugated Steel Tape and Aluminum Tape, providing double protection against moisture and physical impacts. This design makes it the superior choice for underground direct burial.
  • Advanced Water-Blocking Technology: The loose tubes are filled with specialized fiber ointment, and the cable core is packed with water-resistant filling compounds to prevent signal degradation from water ingress.
  • Extreme Crush & Rodent Resistance: The steel tape armor acts as a mechanical shield against gnawing rodents and heavy soil pressure, boasting a short-term crush resistance of up to 3000N/100mm.
  • High Tensile Strength: A solid metallic central strength member ensures the cable can withstand significant pulling force (up to 3000N) during installation without damaging the $250\mu m$ fiber cores.
  • Wide Temperature Resilience: Operates reliably in extreme climates, withstanding temperatures ranging from the freezing cold of -40°C to the intense heat of +70°C.

Primary Applications

  • Direct Burial Laying: Specifically designed for burying directly in the soil without the need for additional conduit.
  • Long-Distance Backbone: Perfect for intercity fiber networks and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Interoffice Communication: Provides high-capacity, stable links for campus and data center connectivity.
  • Rodent-Heavy Areas: The steel armor effectively prevents service interruptions caused by squirrels, rats, or other animals.

Internal Layer Breakdown

  1. Outer PE Sheath: Durable, UV-resistant outer layer.
  2. Corrugated Steel Tape: The primary mechanical defense.
  3. Inner PE Sheath: Secondary protection and moisture seal.
  4. Aluminum Tape: A crucial longitudinal moisture barrier.
  5. Loose Tube & Fibers: High-modulus tubes housing the $250\mu m$ fiber cores.
  6. Central Strength Member: Solid metallic wire for structural integrity.

Note: “D” represents the cable’s outer diameter. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, do not exceed the minimum bending radius during installation.
