Stranded Loose Tube Fiber Cable – Aluminum Tape Moisture Barrier

The 250μm fibers are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound.A steel wire, sometimes sheathed by polyethylene (PE)for cable with high fiber count, locates in the center of core as a metallic strength member.Tubes and possible fillers are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core.Aluminum tape is applied around the cable core, which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. Then, the cable is sheathed by PE material.

Stranded Loose Tube Fiber Cable – Aluminum Tape Moisture Barrier

High-Performance Connectivity with Superior Moisture Protection

The GYTA Fiber Optic Cable is the industry standard for reliable, long-distance communication. Designed with a stranded loose tube structure and an aluminum tape moisture barrier, this cable is optimized for duct installations and non-self-supporting aerial applications. Whether you are connecting interoffice networks or building out municipal telecommunications, the GYTA series delivers stable data transmission in a compact, durable design.

Key Product Features

  • Advanced Moisture Barrier: Features a high-quality Aluminum Tape (APL) wrap that provides an excellent moisture-proof layer, ensuring the internal fibers remain dry and functional even in humid environments.
  • Robust Core Protection: The $250\mu m$ fibers are housed in high-modulus plastic loose tubes filled with a water-resistant filling compound, preventing signal attenuation from water ingress.
  • Metallic Central Strength Member: A solid steel wire at the center of the cable provides the necessary tensile strength to withstand the stresses of installation and long-term environmental tension.
  • Weather-Resistant PE Sheath: Encased in a rugged Polyethylene (PE) outer jacket, this cable is UV-resistant and capable of operating in extreme temperatures ranging from $-40^{\circ}C$ to $+70^{\circ}C$.
  • Standardized Flexibility: Engineered with a minimum bending radius of 10D (Static) and 20D (Dynamic), allowing for easier routing through tight ducts and conduits without damaging the fiber core.

Professional Applications

  • Long-Distance Telecommunications: Ideal for backbone networks and long-haul trunk lines.
  • Interoffice Communication: Provides stable, high-speed links between local exchange buildings.
  • Duct Laying: Specifically designed for smooth pulling through underground conduit systems.
  • Aerial Installation: Suitable for non-self-supporting aerial deployments (requires messenger wire).

What’s Inside the Cable?

  1. Outer Sheath: Durable PE protection.
  2. Aluminum Tape: Longitudinal moisture barrier.
  3. Loose Tubes: High-modulus plastic housing for fibers.
  4. Optical Fibers: High-clarity $250\mu m$ cores.
  5. Central Strength Member: Metallic steel wire for structural integrity.
  6. Ripcord: For easy sheath removal during termination.

Note: “D” in the bending radius refers to the actual outer diameter of the cable. Ensure proper hardware is used for aerial installations to maintain the specified tension limits.
